Welcome to our new website that we are very excited to launch.
Changes we've incorporated within the ordering process - you can now choose how you want to receive product: pickup at our cannery, have shipped via FedEx or UPS; or, delivered by our truck (only available in certain areas of Oregon & Washington between November 15 and December 20). In the "remarks" area of the order form, specify that you want to pickup at cannery or have our truck deliver in the fall.
This year we are offering free delivery to those in our Muirhead truck areas when you order 14 boxes or more -(one address/person/payment) so combine orders with your friends/family/neighbors and place one order of 14 or more boxes. Additionally, orders of 28 boxes or more qualify for a 10% price discount.
We currently do not have any peaches or plums in stock so you will not be able to place an order for them on-line until September. The apricots and apricots with pineapple will become available the end of July. If you want to order these for fall delivery, you can e-mail or give us a call.
It's been an exciting spring at the cannery as equipment is being updated
and we are streamlining the "end of line" processes. This encompasses
more gauges & systems to improve our quality control as the syrups
are mixed and flow into the cans. A complete rework is almost completed relating to how the cans transport into the plant and then out of the plant to the labeling
area. The cans previously would move via hand-loading of pallets, then
by forklift.. The "can transport" has been streamlined and they
will move in and out between buildings via conveyor. This has been an
enormous undertaking as we reconfigured equipment. Soon, we will have
pictures to share.
Many of you have called to inquire about crops. We are at Nature's grace
given our fruit bounty and yes, there were late freezes. Our first crop
is apricots and many of those in the Northwest were frozen out... so far, we are in good shape and will start canning the end of this month. The cherry crops
are doing well, given the temps. Plums, Peaches, and Pears follow and we'll post more on those as we get closer to harvests. We are
always looking for more Elberta growers so if you know of any, contact
us via e-mail or phone as we'd love to pursue the possibility. Grapes
seem to be the new crop replacing our beloved Elberta peaches.
This year we're adding a limited amount of Organic Elberta Peaches, available in 15 ounce cans, halves in light syrup. We are not sure how many we will have so if you are interested, please contact us via e-mail or phone and let us know of your interest. As we get closer to harvest, we'll contact you relating to availability.
Please check back soon for updates about the cannery, shipping, and other miscellaneous information.
